I’m Justin Ellen, and We Bake a Change began the same way so many of my life’s best moments have, in the kitchen.

My journey with baking started as a kid, standing beside my grandma, watching her turn simple ingredients into something magical. Back then, baking was about more than cakes or cookies — it was about connection. The smell of sugar and butter filled the air, but so did laughter, love, and togetherness. Those moments built the foundation for everything that came next.

As I grew up, baking remained my constant. It carried me through every season of life — from childhood curiosity to building Everything Just Baked, my dream brand that allowed me to share my passion with the world. But the more my community grew, the more I saw the reality that not everyone gets to feel that same joy or freedom to dream.

I was raised to believe in possibility — that with love, hard work, and imagination, anything is within reach. But as I met more people, I realized that for many, that kind of freedom isn’t always given so easily. Some people just need someone to remind them that they matter, that they’re seen, and that they deserve to be celebrated.

And that’s what inspired We Bake a Change.

Because in my heart, I’ve always believed that at every celebration, there must always be cake. It’s more than dessert — it’s a symbol of joy, love, and togetherness. It’s a way to say, “You’re special. You’re worthy of being celebrated.”

Through custom cakes and baked goods delivered nationwide, we aim to inspire hope, foster community, and bring light to people in their hardest moments. Whether it’s a family overcoming hardship, a child celebrating a milestone, or someone simply in need of a reason to smile — we believe that something as simple as a cake can spark something extraordinary.
